Pathway Overview

This four-year pathway includes an additional Foundation & Industry Preparation stage, giving students extra time to build technique, confidence, and professional awareness before progressing to Level 3 and 4 training. The programme develops versatile performers ready for higher-level study or professional work in the performing arts.

  • Ideal for students aged 16+ who want a supported, structured entry into vocational performing arts, or who feel they would benefit from a preparatory year to develop a strong technical and creative foundation. No prior experience beyond enthusiasm and commitment is required, though a passion for performance is essential.

  • Intensive, vocational training in:

    • Acting

    • Singing

    • Ballet

    • Jazz

    • Tap

    • Hip Hop

    • Commercial

    • Musical Theatre

    • Pas de Deux

    • and essential performance skills.

  • Foundation & Industry Preparation

    A preparatory stage focused on core technique, performance confidence and industry readiness.

    Technical & Creative Development – Level 3

    Students complete the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts, developing the skills, knowledge and understanding required for progression into higher education or employment.

    Professional Practice & Artistic Identity – Level 4

    Students complete the UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance, refining practical skills, defining artistic identity and working within professional contexts to support progression into higher-level training or the creative industries.

    • Unit 1: Applied Professional Practice

  • Training Fees

    Our training fees for our full-time courses are priced at £7,500/per year. When accepting an offer to Platinum Academy, we will also require a non-refundable payment of £270 to cover the Qualification Cost - this also secures your place.

    Funding and scholarships

    Platinum Academy is an independent performing arts academy and recognise the lack of funding options available. We aim to bring together performers of all backgrounds, despite their financial circumstances. Scholarships awards are limited and are offered at the discretion of the audition panel and Senior Leadership Team. Scholarship awards can also vary in value.
